The Charm of Crystal in a Classic Interior: Family House in Warsaw (PL)
While interior design trends come and go, the classic style remains in vogue, thanks to its timeless charm that appeals to people across generations.
Our latest project is proof of this: lighting for a family home in a Warsaw suburb. We installed two crystal chandeliers and six wall lights in the classic-style dining room, which were carefully selected to both harmoniously complement and enrich the home's stylish interior.
The classical style, which took shape between the mid-18th century and the early 19th century, is synonymous with elegance and harmony. It draws inspiration from ancient Greek and Roman art and architecture, but is not to be confused with classicism, which closely imitates ancient elements, while the classical style uses them more freely and combines them with other historical motifs, giving it a unique character.
Symmetry plays a key role in it, reflecting the Enlightenment desire for order and logic, which can be seen in the harmonious arrangement of furniture and decorations. The classic design boasts the use of a wide range of the finest materials, including Bohemian crystal, marble, various types of wood and metals, to precious textiles, bringing luxury and comfort to the space. The colour palette of the classic interiors is balanced, with warm shades of cream, gold and brown that work together to create an atmosphere of warmth and harmony.
Ceiling friezes and rosettes add a vertical dimension to the space and emphasise the height of the ceiling. However, the main stars of the space are the glamorous crystal chandeliers by ArtCrystal Tomeš. Each fixture is adorned with precision-cut bowls, centerpieces, almond-shaped trimmings and twists that create a beautiful silhouette.
A total of six custom-made wall lights, designed to match the chandeliers, are mounted on the walls. When illuminated, these custom-designed lights cast stunning images onto the walls.
